My daughter Paige was lucky enough to have Corey Maclean as a triple bottom ager in Under 10’s. She spent 3 years in the Club Under 10 program with Corey as her head coach.

His knowledge of the game and the way he taught it made not only Paige but her teammates at the time have the fundamentals to progress successfully through the age groups.

The focus on individual fundamentals and understanding how to play the game were taught by Corey and arguably set that group up to succeed once they progressed from Under 10’s

Corey’s small group sessions have been instrumental in my kids loving and wanting to play basketball even more. His wealth of knowledge, how he deals with the kids and what he coaches all combine to make for extremely valuable sessions – the kids soak up everything he says and love coming each week. We can’t thank Corey enough for the time he puts in and the interest he shows for every member of his Hustle Squad.

Hustle Squad sessions with Corey has been a great investment our family have made for the growth of both our sons; for skill development, game IQ and socio-emotional connection to the game of basketball.

Corey is supportive and challenging of our young athletes, constantly watching their progress and offering continuous constructive feedback that’s clear and received with the care the message is intended.

Corey’s breadth of knowledge of the game and working with athletes of all ages and backgrounds and capabilities is evident in all his sessions and throughout the Hustle Squad community.

Historically Corey coached my husband’s team to an NBL1 Grand Final victory in 2014 and has now chosen to work with the next generation of up-and-coming young people.
